The Blyde Wedding Venue is an open-air venue on the banks of the Blyde River with the majestic Northern Drakensburg escarpment as an impressive natural backdrop.
The Blyde Adventure wedding venue offers exclusive use for you and your guests. It can accommodate up to 180 seated guests at the reception venue.
The reception venue and different chapel options are all open air.
You have several options to choose from for your chapel placement. From the indigenous riverine forests to the spacious lawns with the towering Drakensburg at your back. The open-air chapel arrangement includes hay bales for seating, portable sound system with a mic for the ceremony. Guests can have a lovely walk through the forest from the chapel to reception, but all chapel options are accessible by vehicle.

The Blyde Adventure wedding venue includes tables, chairs, basic setting and standard lighting for the evening. We have an in-house events service provider, Lenteblom Events that can assist you with all aspects of the wedding to ensure your day is everything you dreamed it could be. You are also welcome to use your own wedding coordinator and planner. We will assist them on the initial venue inspections and walk through so that they have all the information they need and assist where we can. There is a built-in bar area, and we offer a standard cash bar, but arrangements can be made if you require something different. We are a fully licensed venue.
There are various photo locations available on the property from citrus orchards, bushveld, to grassland and forests.
We can assist you with a wedding photographer that knows the venue and surrounding area to ensure your special day is captured beautifully for a lifetime of memories. As always, you are welcome to use your own, and we are happy to show them around during the venue inspection so that they know all the different locations.
There is secure parking for all your guests at the reception venue.
Our standard venue use is from 08h00 to 24h00 for weddings and functions, but arrangements can be made to suit your needs. You can refer to our facilities page to see our accommodation options.
