We have some great leisure adventure activities available for you no matter what the season.
Geckos are single-person whitewater specific inflatables.
A leisure adventure activity which is built for fun, comfort and safety. The guided trips happen on the Blyde Adventure Camp property and use a section of river with just the right combination of calm and action to keep everybody happy. This leisure adventure activity is water dependent; luckily for us, it very seldom happens that there is too little or too much. You get the opportunity to do a couple of laps on the rapids and some chill time on the rocks to bask in the sun. All safety equipment is supplied, and their well-experienced guides are there to ensure your adventure is as safe and fun as possible.
There will soon be some exciting new day activities available for outside guests/day visitors.
We are developing some short hiking routes that will take you onto the slopes of the Drakensburg Escarpment with majestic views over the Lowveld. The hikes will allow you to see and learn about the rich and colorful cultural history of the area, the fragile environment and incredible geological history.
For the birders or twitchers out there we are developing a birding route that will take you from the dry Savannah scrub into and along with the riverine forests.
This will give you the opportunity to see many of the elusive river loving species from the water such as the African Finfoot and Giant Kingfisher.
We can also assist you with making bookings for the scenic boat trips on the Blyde dam in the Blyde River Canyon.
